Sub-Committees

Sub-Committees within HSLC

HSLC is planned completely by the members of the student organization. In order to facilitate the planning and administration of the conference, members are divided into three sub-committees. All members have the opportunity to contribute ideas and talents to other sub-committees.

Correspondence
Questions? This committee is involved in contacting schools and advertising the conference to future delegates. Any communication regarding questions, applications, mail, or registration goes through this committee. During the conference Correspondence administers check-in and checkout procedures, continues to be the point of contact, and maintains medical records in case of emergency.

Programming
Are you ready for some fun? This committee decides all activities on the conference schedule. The programming sub-committee chooses each of the guest speakers, workshop presenters, and entertainers. T-shirts, nametags, and other conference materials are designed and prepared by Programming.

Hospitality
Anybody hungry? The hospitality sub-committee is responsible for all meals, snacks, and drinks for the conference. Since our conference houses delegates in dorms, Hospitality recruits responsible, on-campus students to serve as hosts to our delegates.
