Hosts

*** The host meetings will be held Tuesday, Nov. 10th, and Thursday, Nov. 12th, at 5:15PM in Rudder 401.  You only have to attend one of the two meetings, but you or your roommate MUST attend. 

One of the greatest opportunities for involvement for any on-campus Ag is hosting. HSLC provides a chance for high school juniors and seniors to learn more about leadership through workshops, speakers, and small group discussions. It is our hope that these students can then take what they have learned and apply it at their high school, in their hometown, and on into their future college careers.

High School Leadership Conference is excited for you to help us by providing housing to the conference delegates! Your duties as a participant would entail:

  • Submitting a Host Contract and a Host Background Check Form

  • Attending a host meeting prior to the conference

  • Providing housing to two delegates in your dorm room for two nights

  • Follow rules set by both Texas A&M University and HSLC

This year's conference will be November 13th-15th. The high school delegates will be picked up by you late both nights and dropped off by you early the next morning- it’s that simple.

The attached Host Contract and Background Check forms need to be filled out for the safety of the high school students as well as for liability reasons on your and our part. We hope to have a successful conference this year, and in order to do that, we need your full cooperation.
